JAKARTA, Chairman of the Special Task Force of the Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Amien Sunaryadi and the Director General of Public Law Administration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Freddy Harris signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Granting of Quick Access to Legal Entity Administration System Application on Wednesday (8/3).

With this MoU, SKK Migas will be able to access all data of limited liability companies existing in Indonesia owned by Directorate General of Public Law Administration. “The Directorate General of Public Law Administration grants the data access for the sake of transparency. The data such as those concerning shareholders, commissioners, and history of companies can be seen,” the Director General of Public Law Administration, Freddy Harris revealed. He further said that this MoU will support the work of SKK Migas and the upstream oil and gas industry as a significant contributor to the state revenues.

Chairman of SKK Migas, Amien Sunaryadi said that the quick access to the application for legal entity administration system will strengthen the procurement process in the upstream oil and gas industry. “Verification of vendors will be much easier. The verification quality will be better and the verification process will be faster,” Amien added.

This MoU will strengthen the Centralized Integrated Vendor Database (CIVD), which has been developed by SKK Migas. Through this system, service providers or vendors can simply follow the verification in one Contractor of Cooperation Contract (KKS Contractor) incorporated in CIVD, and if it has been verified, it can then participate in procurements in all of KKS Contractors.

Amien revealed that currently more than 3,000 service providers have been verified, and about 2,500 are in the process of verification. The quick access to the application for legal entity administration system in the Directorate General of Public Law Administration will make this verification process more controlled.

“These data of legal entities will help ensuring that the companies engaged in the upstream oil and gas industry are the registered ones,” Amien concluded. (SKKMigas)
